Birkirkara and Hibernians in top of the table clash

by Ayrton Galea - 24th October 2014

Birkirkara and Hibernians have been labelled as the main contenders of this year's BOV Premier League title in this early stage of the season. Tomorrow afternoon these two top teams in the standing will be involved in a direct encounter.

Playing the best football at this early stage, and expected to challenge for this year's Premier League title, Birkirkara and Hibernians will be hoping to have another boost tomorrow.

It was a good weekend for the Stripes, who not only enjoyed a splendid performance in the 2-0 victory over rivals Valletta, but also saw their gap with leaders Hibernians trimmed to just four points, after the latter dropped their first points in a 1-1 draw against Tarxien Rainbows.

On the other hand, Hibernians registered seven straight wins for a perfect start, but they were held in a 1-1 draw by Tarxien Rainbows.

The Stripes are expected to be in full strength, although Gareth Sciberras's fitness is still doubtful, while Hibernians will have Marcelo Dias suspended after have been sent off in the last match.

The match will be played at the Hibernians Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 17:00.

Come on the Stripes!
