Birkirkara FC Women's Team returned to winning ways and assured that they will be finishing the BOV Women's League in the second position when they registered a very big victory with a 9-0 over Kirkop United FC.

Following back-to-back defeats against Hibernians and Raiders, the Stripes needed maximum points to make sure of the second place. They reached their target with a superb performance and the biggest victory of the season.

The Stripes surged ahead on the twenty-third minute. Samantha Zarb scored her first goal with the Senior Team with a wonderful up-rising shot after served by Alishia Sultana. Seven minutes from half-time, they doubled the lead thanks to a fine header by Kim Parnis after a free-kick by Stephania Farrugia.

Kelly Agius Pace scored one of the fastest hat-trick in Women's football as she scored three goals in space of just eight minutes to make the three points beyond any doubt. Kim Parnis added her second personal goal and Gabriella Zahra also put her name on the scoring sheet six minutes from time.

Kim Parnis completed her hat-trick two minutes from time before Kelly Agius Pace scored the ninth goal for the Stripes and her fourth personal one with a gem of a free-kick just before the full-time whistle.
