Two new players for the Women's Team

by Ayrton Galea - 25th July 2016

Birkirkara FC Women's Team strengthened the squad further, as National team defender Ann-Marie Said, and forward Tracy Teuma joined our Club on a one-year loan from Gozo FC.

Ann-Marie, who turned 22 years on the 2 July, is a product of Gozo FC, but she was loaned to Raiders FC in the last two seasons. She forms of part of the National Team and is considered a solid centre-back, who can also play on the sides, or in an advanced defensive midfielder role. Said is also well-known for her dangerous set-pieces.

On the other hand, Tracy, aged 25 years, is one of the finest forwards in Women's football. Having the ability to shoot with both her left and right feet, she is considered as a lethal striker. Her speed and technique make her one of the most offensive players in Malta. Like Ann-Marie, Tracy has spent the last two seasons on loan with Raiders FC.

The arrival of Ann-Marie and Tracy add the tally of new signings to no less than seven in the summer transfer market. Goalkeeper Rosemarie Baldacchino, Cassie Camilleri, Sonia Schembri, Kelly Lee and Leanne Micallef all joined our Club a few days.

We would like to welcome Ann-marie and Tracy while we wish them all the best of luck in their adventure with our Club.
