Goran Mujanovic hails from Croatia and he was born on the 29 September 1983. The versatile player, who can either play at the side-back or on the wing, is mostly known for successful spells throughout the years with top Croatian sides namely NK Varteks, NK Slaven Belupo and HNK Rijeka. He.joined our Club in the 2016 January Transfer Market.
He came through the ranks of Varkas and he formed part for the first time with the Senior Team in the 2005-2006 season, where he played six matches and scored two goals before he moved to the Belgian Club Lierse. With Lierse, he played thirty-four matches and scored three goals.
Following the positive spell with the Belgian Club, he returned to Varkas mid-way the 2006-2007 season and spent another three and a half seasons where he played ninety-six matches and scored twenty-five goals. He was the Club’s top scorer in the 2008-2009 season with eleven goals.
In the 2010-2011 season, he joined Slaven Belupo and spent two seasons where he made fifty-three appearances in which he scored five goals and made eleven assists. In 2012, he joined HNK Rijeka where he spent two seasons. He played fifty-eighth matches and scored four goals.
Following playing with a host of Croatian sides for a number of years, Goran moved to Kuwait for the 2014-2015 season where he joined Al Nassr Sporting Club, a club in the top division of Kuwait. He was a regular choice as he played sixteen matches while he scored nine goals and made seven assists.
With the Stripes seeking to strengthen their attacking department in the 2016 January Transfer Market, the choice fell on Goran who signed one and a half year contract with our Club on Tuesday, 19 January 2016.
He made his debut in the 1-0 victory over Valletta FC in the fourth round of the FA Trophy where he had a very satisfactory performance and played all the ninety minutes. During his first five months with our Club, he left a very good impression. Goran played seventeen matches and scored two goals while he was voted once the BOV Player of the Match.
