Women Under-17's Team defeated by Tarxien Rainbows

Birkirkara FC Women Under-17's Team produced a satisfactory performance but it wasn't enough to avoid a 3-1 defeat against Tarxien Rainbows FC in the Women Under-17's League Section A.

Tarxien built a comfortable two-goal lead in the opening seven minutes. Kailey Willis lobbed over goalkeeper Enriquez after four minutes, and three minutes later, Kim Borg doubled the lead with a close-range shot.

The Stripes made fine reaction. Sarah Urpani had her shot ending over after served by Michela Felice and moments later, the same played had a good free-kick saved by the goalkeeper on the twentieth minute.

Tarxien made them three fifteen minutes from time. Willis hit a powerful drive from outside the box that gave goalkeeper Enriquez no chance.

Birkirkara pulled one back two minutes later. Emma Bonnici's effott was blocked and short cleared. The loose ball arrived to the path of Nicole Zammit who hit a thunderous drive into the net.
