Birkirkara somehow grab a draw!
by Matthaeus Grasso - 9th May 2009Birkirkara have managed to achieve a two-minute double salvo as they managed to somehow grab a point from yet another disappointing match, in which the team failed to show it's real potential.
The first goal of the match arrived after twenty-eight minutes, as Alcorse headed the ball over Omar Borg, the Birkirkara goalkeeper.
A boring first half ended 1-0
Twelve minutes from the restart, the Marsaxlokk clan thought they had all three points in the bag, as Alcorse scored again after a good cross by Carlo Mamo from the left.
With the Birkirkara supporters and administration looking in despair, George Mallia headed-in a Shaun Bajada corner after seventy-four minutes.
Just two minutes later, Joseph Zerafa took the matters in his hands, as after a wonderful solo run, he managed to equalize with a splendid shot from outside the box to keep Marsaxlokk four points adrift from our Europe League spot.
