Marcis Savinovs, new defender for Birkirkara FC

Latvian central defender Marcis Savinovs is the latest signing for Birkirkara as today both parties agreed terms on a one year contract.

Marcis was born on the 3 May 1987 and in 2008 he joined FK Valmiera. In the same year he changes his team as he played one season for FS Metta LU. In 2009 he joined FK Jaunîba where he spent one season there where he played four matches, three started from the beginning and once included as a substitute. He also managed to find the net as he scored once. In 2011 he joined Jelgava where he made one appearance.

The 190cm tall player arrived Malta today and he is expected to make his debut today against Floriana in the first match of Birkirkara for this season in the Euro Challenge Cup.
