Under-15's Team suffer first defeat

Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team suffered the first defeat in the APS Under-15's League Section A when on Sunday morning, they lost with a 3-2 score against Hibernians.

In a match characterised by strong winds, the Stripes did well to end the first half with a one-goal lead, thanks to a goal after just two minutes thanks to Nicholas Farrugia who hit home from close-range. However, in the second half, with the wind blowing in their favour Hibernians scored three goals to stun the Stripes.

Birkirkara reacted and pulled one back three minutes from time by Carlo Zammit Lonardelli. The Stripes threw everything forward as they tried to save a point from the match but Hibernians stood strong and inflicted the first defeat to Birkirkara.
