Under-15's Team secure Section A status

Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team secured their section A status thanks by winning three out of three matches in the Play-offs Group C after defeating Sliema Wanderers FC with a solitary goal by Paul Galea on Sunday morning.

With both teams winning the first two matches in the Play-offs group, the match between the Stripes and the Wanderers had to determine who would be playing in Section A and the Stripes emerged as winners to be playing in the top section in the Under-15's League.

The all important goal was scored on the twenty-eighth minute when off a perfect free-kick by Michele Vella on the second post, Paul Galea headed home to the joy of those present.

In the second half, the Stripes defended well the result with goalkeeper Amara Sylla had to make some fine interventions as the Stripes held the narrow advantage to secure an important Section A status.
