Under-15's Team qualifies for the Semi-Final

Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team qualified for the semi-final of the Under-15's Knockout when on Sunday afternoon, they defeated St. Andrew's with a 3-2 score in a hard fought match. The scorers for the Stripes were Adam Camilleri, Irvine Sultana and Carlo Zammit Lonardelli.

Birkirkara surged ahead on the twenty-second minute when Irvine Sultana's cross found Adam Camilleri who slotted home from inside the box. However, St. Andrew's made the score level just two minutes later.

The Stripes regained the lead on the fourty-eighth minute when Carlo Zammit Lonardelli dribbled past his opponent and delivered a fine cross that found Irvine Sultana who concluded home. St. Andrew's made an instant reaction as once again it took them two minutes to make score level once again.

However, the Stripes scored the winning goal on the seventieth minute. Everything owed to Carlo Zammit Lonardelli who in possession just five metres from the half-way line, he unleashed a magnificent strike with the ball scrapes past the crossbar and into the net.
