Jelena Sakic joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC Women's Team completed their third major signing, as Serbian defender Jelena Sakic has joined our Club on a one-year loan from Gozo FC.

Jelena, who has played with the National Team till the youths' level, is a strong versatile defender who can either play as a centre-back or side-back. The twenty-four year old defender was a stand-out with Gozo FC last season.

Sakic becomes the third major signing after Tracy Teuma and Ann-Marie, who both were among the protagonists of last year's success, renewed their stay with our Club with another season.
