Melania Bajada: Your support is vital

Women's Team Coach Melania Bajada encourages the Birkirkara supporters to come and support the Women's Team in today's big-match of the BOV Women's League against arch-rivals Hibernians FC. The Birkirkara Coach has rated today's big-match against Hibernians FC as one of the most important matches of the season.

The twenty-eight year old Coach, who was appointed as the new team's Coach in June, has already left her mark with the team by winning the Women's Super Cup in August and the team is on top of the table without a defeat after twelve matches.

We have opened this interview by talking on the positive season so far. “It has been a very good season so far as we are on top of the table with a two-point advantage. Having said this, the road to winning back-to-back titles is anything than easy because there a lot of important matches to play.”

Shifting the focus on today's match, Coach Bajada is aware of today's significant match. “Today's match is one of the most important matches as it has a lot of weight for winning the league.”

“Ironically, our best performance was against Hibernians in the previous round, the only match that we didn't win the three points. We were very disciplined tactically and every player gave the utmost effort. However, we couldn't find the winning goal on the day.”

The Women's Team Coach concluded this interview with a message to the supporters. “I would like to thank all the supporters that they were behind the team every match. However, I would like to encourage more supporters to come and support this team. Your support is vital for our players.”
