Match Preview: Birkirkara FC vs. Tarxien Rainbows FC

Birkirkara FC will be all-out to recover from two consecutive defeats and get back to winning ways, as the Stripes will take on Tarxien Rainbows FC in Matchday 7 of the BOV Premier League.
The Stripes have won just three out of the first six matches and they are coming from two consecutive defeats. Following a narrow 2-1 defeat against Gzira United FC, the Stripes suffered another disappointing defeat as they were defeated by St. Andrew's FC with a 2-0 score.
On the other hand, Tarxien Rainbows have six points from six matches. Like the Stripes, the Rainbows are also coming from two consecutive defeats as they lost to Sliema Wanderers FC with a 3-1 score and Hibernians FC with a 4-2 score respectively.
The Stripes will be approaching this match knowing that they cannot afford to drop more points, as they lie in the sixth place with nine points joined by Floriana FC, Hamrun Spartans FC and St. Andrews FC respectively, but the latter played an extra match. A win with the Stripes will see them keeping the pace with the front-four teams.
Coach Paul Zammit should welcome back Carlos Chavarria and Marcelo Henrique back in his team as both players recovered from different injuries. Club's latest signing Petar Orlandic is eligible for selection as all paperwork with the Malta Football Association has been registered on time.
The match will be played at the Centenary Stadium and it will kick off at 17:15.
