Birkirkara FC signs Jorge Pereira Da Silva

Birkirkara FC completed their fourth signing in the January Transfer Market, when they concluded the transfer of the highly-rated Jorge Pereira. The Brazilian forward signed for the remaining of this season and for season 2019-2020.

Jorge is well-known for his attacking qualities. He established himself as one of the most lethal forwards in our league, following successful experiences with Qormi FC and Hibernians FC with a spell with Hungarian side Kecskeméti TE in between.

The thirty-three-year-old forward joins our Club following a short-spell with Gzira United FC. He joined the Maroons in the beginning of this season, but he found little space as he played eight matches and scored one goal.

He becomes the fourth signing of the Stripes, following the arrival of Mauma Svraka, Clayton Failla and most recently, Johann Bezzina from Hibernians FC.

Club's technical director, Mr. Michael Valenzia said, "We would like to welcome Jorginho to our club. There have been many occasions in the past where he was so close to join us, but for several reasons, this was not possible.We have finally acquired his signature and we hope that he will help us to achieve our targets this season. We would like to wish him the best of luck during his time with our club."
