Karl Pulo was born on the 30 July 1989 and he is one of the youngsters with a bright future ahead of him.
Before joining Birkirkara FC, Karl was playing for the 1st division side, Pieta Hotspurs before he was one of the main targets of the club and at the beginning of the Summer 2009 Transfer Market, he agreed to sign a five year deal which means he'll be a player of 'The Stripes' till the 2013-2014 season.
During his first season with Birkirkara in the 2009-2010, Karl Pulo's task was not easy as he had to fight for his solitary place with Sylvano Comvalius.
The technique he uses to go easily past any defender quickly grabbed the attention of Paul Zammit who introduced Karl as a substitute and gave him the chance to show his standards by increasing the amount of minutes he plays in maches.
Karl Pulo scored his first and most important goal in the match against Hibernians on the 18th October 2009 when our team were loosing 2-1 after Trevor Cilia put one back for 'The Stripes' , Karl Pulo managed to bring the equalizer just a minute after Trevor Cilia's shot which placed the ball at the back of the net.
From then on, Pulo never looked back and with Comvalius undecided on whether he will leave the club or not, Pulo was in the 1st eleven and, goal after goal always managed to impress.
In the 2009-2010 season, Karl managed to score five goals which were all important for the well-deserved Premier league.
The 2010-2011 season was quite a disappointing one as ‘The Stripes' ended up in the third place and knocked out in the semi-final of the U*BET FA Trophy. In the Premier League he made 20 appearances out of which started the match six times while he was included as a substitute 14 times.
In the 2011 Summer Transfer Marker, Karl Pulo moves to Tarxien as he signed a three year contract with them.
