Adrian Sanchez was born on the 23 January 1988 and he is a Spanish goalkeeper that joined our Club in the 2014 Summer Transfer Market.
Sanchez is considered as a strong goalkeeper as his height distinguishes him as a true leader between the posts. Last year, he was on the books of UD Salamanca, a Spanish team in the Segunda B, the third division of Spanish football.
Season 2014-2015
With Justin Haber suffering an injury at the start of the 2014-2015, Birkirkara were in search of a goalkeeper and the choice felt on the Spanish goalkeeper, Adrian Sanchez. He joined our Club on Saturday, 21 June after putting pen on paper for a one-year deal.
Following playing the Euro Cup Pre-Season tournament, he made his official debut in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League in the narrow 2-1 defeat against the Hungarian side, Diosgyor VTK. Sanchez had a brilliant performance, where he was the protagonist with a number of fine saves.
