Birkirkara sign on Michael Fraser

Today, Birkirkara FC have registered their third goalkeeper for this season. The latest recruit is Michael Fraser, a Scottish goalkeeper who was on trial with our Club for the last few weeks.

Training schedule

As on Friday night, reigning champions Birkirkara FC will be involved in the highly expected BoV Premier League match against archrivals Valletta, Mr. Paul Zammit and the rest of the technical staff have scheduled the training sessions for this week so the squad can be prepared as much as possible.

Birkirkara beaten twice in friendly tournament

Yesterday night, Birkirkara were involved in a friendly tournament where 'The Stripes' were beaten in two matches, against Tarxien Rainbows and Hamrun Spartans. The latter won the tournament after they beat Tarxien Rainbows as well.

Team's timetable for first week of October

As for the second consecutive week, Birkirkara will not be involved in the Premier League, Mr. Paul Zammit and the rest of the technical staff do not want the squad to lack match practice. To avoid this, 'The Stripes' besides the weekly training session, will be involved in a triangular friendly tournament.

Birkirkara FC beat Pieta Hotspurs in friendly match

In what can be described as a tedious match that never reached a high level of football, Birkirkara managed to beat 1st Division side, Pieta Hotspurs with an odd goal which was scored on the 72nd minute.

Team's schedule for this week

Although the BOV Premier League will have a two-week break, the squad cannot afford to lose its match practice. To make sure this does not happen, Mr. Paul Zammit and his assistant, Mr. Branko Nisevic have prepared this week training sessions with this in mind.

A dramatic goal by Emiliano Lattes in the 90th minute enabled Birkirkara to pick up maximum points as the "Yellow-Reds" managed to beat Hibernians to the tune of 2-1.

Birkirkara's first defeat in the Premier League

Yesterday, Birkirkara suffered their first defeat in the Premier League when Floriana beat them to the tune of 2-0, in a boring match which saw both sides making several mistakes and whose tempo surely did not reach the expected level.
