Two minute double-salvo by Birkirkara

Thanks to a display of determination and great will to succeed, the Birkirkara FC boys managed to come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against champions Hibernians. All this with just ten men on the pitch! Striker Sylvano Comvalius had a glorious chance to put the 'Stripes' ahead after just thirteen minutes, when George Mallia was sent to the ground by Kevin Cassar, with the referee having no option but to award our side a penalty, from which the Dutch player failed to capitalize.

On Saturday, Birkirkara have managed to put five goals past a weak Hamrun Spartans defence in a friendly match organized due to the temporary halt of the BOV Premier League due to the National Squad's commitments in Portugal.
